Hey hey hey and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wow! What a wonderful break it has been taking some time off from…well… just about everything except for hanging with the family. I hope each of you had a relaxing time and going back to the real world hasn’t been too terrible.
It’s always fun to reflect back on accomplishments from the past year and 2014 was a GREAT year over here at Southern State of Mind! I can’t even begin to express how much I have enjoyed learning more about this whole blogging thing, exercising my creative “muscle” and interacting with y’all. THANK YOU for your support and following along on this little home/life journey I blabber on about here at SSOM.
Without further ado, here are my favorite moments from 2014-
1. As with my entire house, I am always tweaking and changing things up in my living room. This spring I grabbed a couple new pillow covers from Ikea…one thing led to another… and before I knew it the room was transformed just by rearranging things I already had.
2. There was definitely ALOT of change around here for us personally. Bringing home baby boy #2 in June was of course the biggest one. Which then evolved into a big decision to leave my career and stay home with the boys. Six months in and I am truly at peace with the decision. I feel that I am just where I should be.
3. Of course bringing home a new baby called for some room switching and creating a new big boy room was a fun one. And as I am writing this, I realized that I never actually did a full reveal. #badblogger
I guess that whole having a baby thing kind of put a halt on things. That post is definitely coming soon.
4. Apparently you are into girls weekends. And mason jars. And pajama pants. Because this post about a Girls Weekend Gift in a Mason Jar went crazy on Pinterest. Redbook Magazine even featured it! It’s funny how the simplest projects end up being so loved.
So, out of the 169 posts from 2014- these were some of my favorites. Which were yours? What would you like to see more of in 2015? Do tell!
