Hi there! Hope your weekend is wonderful! It’s all about golf for the husband this weekend thanks to the Masters tournament so I have been having my own version of fun. Yes, that includes yard sale-ing with Mom while Dad graciously volunteered to handle my offspring…and then graciously volunteered to haul my furniture finds. I am a lucky gal!
I have some fun things planned to share this week (including the goodies we found on our hunt!) but wanted to pop in today with a quick pop of color for our Sunday Funday Inspiration. A few weeks back as I was brainstorming for my master bedroom makeover, I had an idea to line some old drapes I had with a contrasting fabric. I have since decided to go in a different direction….but…
Imagine my delight when I was thumbing through an old House Beautiful last night (my Mom brought me a stack) and saw this.
It got me thinking about other fun ways to make ordinary and inexpensive curtains feel more custom.
Here are a few that caught my eye:
I love a pom-pom added to these Ikea white drapes. A few years back I did this in the nursery on the cheap- I found some drapes that I didn’t particularly like at a yard sale for a couple bucks and just reused the pom-poms. So, if you ever see pom-poms on something remember it can very easily be reapplied to a different drape!
Ok, this is the most amazing thing in the history of forever. You can triple pleat Ikea drapes and they look like a million bucks. I love the color, height and the triple pleating on these drapes.
I love what Julie did with these drapes. Definitely some inspiration for our guest room since I have plain white Ikea drapes up right now!
