Hi y’all and welcome to Southern State of Mind! Grab a cup of coffee and stay awhile.
I’m Heather – a lifestyle blogger that shares my passion for DIY in our casual southern Atlanta home. I am the personality behind this blog – Southern State of Mind- where I share the stories of my home projects, family adventures and more.
I invite you to come take a look inside my home where you will find each nook and cranny filled with my signature touch of budget-conscious DIY projects. This blog is a tale of repurposing items I already have, finding some yard sale treasures along the way, a few fantastic splurges, a little elbow grease and a vision.
A vision of a comfortable and stylish home where I can happily raise my family.
My hope is that after reading my blog you will feel like you’ve just made a new friend. A friend that gives you tips on how to transform your living space into the comfortable home you’ve always wanted. A friend that shares ideas for enjoying ‘life with southern style’ through travel, recipes and fashion ideas. A friend that will gladly fire up her glue gun and share her stash of burlap ribbon to show you how she makes a wreath for her front porch.
I dub my style “preppy eclectic” combining my love of traditional style and navy blue with restored vintage finds and rustic touches. I believe that a limited budget should not hold you back from having your home make you happy. With two young boys and a big brown fur baby, I believe there are no “off-limit” or formal rooms and that your home should be lived in and loved.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, I do hope you feel inspired. If you’re new here today, I’d love for you to join my email list! You’ll receive a notification straight to your inbox any time there’s a new post on Southern State of Mind, just enter your address below.
