We made it to the beach! Yep, me, 450 miles and two kiddos. I am happy to report that the drive was non-eventful, thanks to a 4 am departure. Hooray! We are enjoying ourselves and hubs will be joining in a few days! I love that we are soaking up the last few weeks of summer with our toes in the sand.
When we get back from our vacation, Mr. Big Stuff will be starting “school”. To start the school year off right we made his teacher a gift before we left. Since the teachers are constantly labeling sippy cups – I figured the gift of Sharpies would be much appreciated!
This was really simple to put together with just a couple supplies:
– Sharpies, Sharpies and More Sharpies
– Small Terra Cotta Pot
– Chalkboard Spray Paint
– Dry Black Beans
– Pipe Cleaners
I painted the flower pot with chalkboard paint, added some black beans for the “dirt”, twisted some pipe cleaners onto the markers- and voila- a flower pot.
Sticking with the flower theme, I wrote “If Teachers Were Flowers, I’d Pick You!” which felt like a great saying to start the school year.
Happy Back To School!
