Good morning friends and hello FRIDAY! Is everyone as ready for the weekend as me? We are actually gearing up for our fall break which means Sweet P gets next week off of school. For us, that doesn’t really mean anything too exciting because we are staying put around the big A. But I am definitely looking forward to a week of sleeping in past 6:15 and not having to pack lunches. It’s only been two months since school started but man that’s a grind isn’t it?
Today I’m kicking off a fun new series I’m calling Fall Style Favorites. When the clock strikes “fall” I immediately want to start layering on plaids, throwing on my boots and bundling up with scarves. The reality is that the weather here in Atlanta is manic and while some days we do have the cooler weather, there are some days that are blazing hot. So many of the outfits I will be sharing have lots of layers because I imagine we all have this same challenge this time of year.
My hope with sharing style posts is to inspire you to look at your closet in a new way tomorrow morning. Or if you are looking for a few new pieces to add to your closet you will find some good affordable and real options. To be perfectly honest, while I do love sharing style posts, these are some of the hardest for me to write. There is just something about posting pictures of yourself that takes this whole “putting yourself out there” thing to a whole new level. But putting together outfits is something I have always enjoyed and since we all have to get dressed every single day (and some days even try to look cute!) why not share more of that side of me here with my people?
Actually, my Dad recently reminded of a funny memory back when I was in school. When he would come in to my room to wake me me up for school he would see my outfit for school that day perfectly laid out on the floor right down to the shoes.
So apparently, this whole creating outfits thing is not something new for me. 🙂
Plus, sharing my Fall Style Favorites here is motivation for me to get my fall and winter closet into shape. Win win!
On a side note, do you see those witch legs? I hadn’t found them yet when I shared my front porch the other day. They are the perfect addition to the porch with the floating witch hats. I found them at Target for $10 and they just crack me up. I mean, how could they not just make you smile? See the full porch here.
Alright witches, I hope you have a wonderful weekend! PS- I found a steal on a similar military vest for under $30- see it here!
