Make these Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls for an early tailgate or breakfast for game day and watch them disappear. I shared these breakfast bites a few years back but made them again recently so wanted to share again. These Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls were always perfect at a morning tailgate for those noon games. Very easy to make before heading out to the tailgate and certain to get gobbled up.
THREE INGREDIENT Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls Tailgate Breakfast Food
INGREDIENTS- Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls
- 1 lb. ground sausage (I use the Jimmy Dean sausage)
- 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
- 2 cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
DIRECTIONS – Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls
- Soften cream cheese in microwave for 15 seconds.
- Brown sausage like hamburger meat (drain).
- Roll out one can of crescent rolls for the bottom crust.
- Mix sausage and cream cheese together. Spread mixture onto the bottom crust.
- Use the second can of rolls to make a top layer crust by pinching sides together all the way around so the sausage mixture doesn’t come out.
- Bake at 325°F until golden brown (anywhere from 15-25min).
- Cut into squares.
These are perfect because they can be served hot or cold.
So yummy for a tailgate breakfast! GO TEAM!

Had Labor Day weekend company and made these for breakfast. I added one cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the filling, then scooped about 1 TBS into each croissant triangle and rolled them individually, not as a sheet. I made them the night before and baked them fresh in the morning. I served them with eggs, fresh fruit and bacon (because you ALWAYS need bacon) and they were a big hit!

I saw this and just knew I had to take these to college tailgate. I baked them, then put them in a 9×13 pan that I had warming in the oven, then in an insulated carrier. They kept pretty warm, and everyone loved them!! Thanks for the great recipe!
