Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a great week. Did you get a score any Lilly goodies on Sunday? I had BIG intentions but then I just could not DEAL. #bloggerproblems #mommyproblems
So sadly I didn’t get anything on my wish list. But my cousin knew of my sadness and happened to hit Target at just the right time where she snagged a cosmetic bag that was returned for me. Maybe I will get lucky and come across a few more pieces too!
Well here we are on week #4 of the One Room Challenge Master Bedroom Makeover. Whoa. How does a month really go by this fast?!?!?
The big news today is that the curtain conundrum is O.V.E.R.
Curtain conundrum you ask?
Yes, I have been in the middle of a curtain conundrum over here and just be glad I didn’t bring you along on the ups, downs, headaches and tears.
OK, so maybe no actual tears were shed but I’ve had more awkward moments balancing one foot on my bed and one on the nightstand to hang different options than I care to mention. The good news is that since this is a 6 week challenge it forced me to keep dusting myself off and to try-try again.
I will skip right over the part where I ordered some navy ones from Target. They were too dark.
Returned.
Then I will skip over the part where I ordered pearly ones from Target.
They were too sheer.
Returned.
Then I won’t bore you with the Emerald Green ones that came home from Ikea.
They were fabulous but just too dark.
Returned.
Of course, I wouldn’t want to tell you about the 4 drop cloths that made a round trip visit to my home.
Returned.
Clearly I was running out of ideas and out of patience.
Would you believe the ones I ended up with were RIGHT under my nose the whole time?!? I had four off-white curtains that I wasn’t using because they were too short and I really didn’t know what to use to make them longer.
Then I ordered 2 yards of this lovely Ikat fabric to make a fabric panel to go above my headboard as I showed you in my original inspiration board.
But then it hit me… forget the headboard piece! Just use this fabric to extend these old curtains I had. I was sad that the emerald green ones didn’t work out but I am happy with where I landed.
I still plan to tie in some green and goodness gracious I have LOTS to do in the next two weeks. But at least the curtain conundrum is over!
To follow along with the progress here is a recap of each week:

I adore those curtains! I love adding fabric to the bottom when panels are too short. It's just the right pop of color. That fabric is to die for!!!!

The curtains look great! Glad that problem is solved. I do the same thing… buy, try, return…buy something else, try, return. Just happened with our faucet. Bought one, installed it, and it's way too big & tall for the sink. Disassemble. Return. Order new faucet.
