Hi friends! Today we are continuing our stroll through our new house with a stop in the foyer. Now I realize this area should have been first if we were actually strolling through the house. So, let’s just pretend that it was mmmkay? 🙂 However, I took a few minutes the other day to set up a little vignette using things we had on hand so figured it was time to share.
I was thrilled when I realized this little table fit perfect in this nook. This was a $15 score from a thrift store and I love it’s rustic charm. The foyer in this house is actually much smaller than our previous house so I will need to rethink the entire spot.
Fortunately, the rug I found at Scott’s for our previous foyer fits great here though! Of course, I do hope to find a new lamp and some fun new art along the way.
Here you can see how the foyer flows to the living room, kitchen and kitchen dining area. When you walk in the front door, if you take a left you will enter the dining room. (which by the way is completely empty!)
The list of things to do around the new house is truly endless. Which is why I want to share the house as is it today, because I know if I waited until it was “done”, it might possibly be years until I share a space! Plus it will be fun to look back later to see where we started.
Thanks for joining me on the next stop. If you missed anything along the way, you can catch up below:

The rug DOES fit perfectly and I spy some pretty styled shelves in the background of that first photo! Love how your home is coming together!!

Love the large blue and white chinoiserie piece under the table – any chance you can source it?

Hi Lynn! Thanks so much. I found it at Garden Ridge years ago but it is very similar to this one at Wayfair: http://rstyle.me/n/cr2jb7x846 I also see one on Amazon here: http://amzn.to/2vFyVuG

Looks great and very welcoming. We just moved too and there’s so much to do…so much to purchase…and so many decisions to make. It sure is fun though. 🙂
