If your kids are anything like mine, they want to eat a snack every 37 seconds or so. The struggle is real am I right? So I am attempting to have some healthier snacks on hand to give them when they are hungry. I made these No Bake Peanut Butter Protein Balls (of course, I called them “cookies”) and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they disappeared. Honestly, I liked having them on hand for myself too when I just needed a little something between meals. And yes, “hanger” is real. (angry + hunger= hanger) These Peanut Butter Protein Balls will definitely become something I keep in our rotation around here! I love that they are no bake and literally take minutes to prepare.
Peanut Butter Protein Balls
Ingredients:
1 Cup Peanut Butter ( I use the natural kind with no hydrogenated oils) Refer to this article for good info on the healthiest peanut butters.
1/2 Cup Honey (to taste)
1.5 Cup Uncooked Oats
I also added a handful of Chocolate Chips
Other things you can add in:
chopped nuts, flax seed, dried fruit, almond butter, protein powder, cocoa powder, coconut, vanilla
Directions:
- Heat Peanut Butter and Honey on stove until combined
- Add Oats, mix with spoon or hands
- Roll into bite sized balls on wax paper or a cookie sheet
- Pop in refrigerator until firm
- Store in air tight container in fridge
These can also be done as Protein Bars- just press the ingredients into a 9×9 pan and cut into bars instead.
Have you ever made these No Bake Peanut Butter Balls? I’d love to hear if you have any tips! Or other snack ideas to keep around the house.

Hi Heather, I make these and they are great to have on hand just when you need a bite. I have added
Cocoa (dark) and that makes them delicious! Great easy recipe!
