The forecast called for a washed out rainy Easter weekend here in Atlanta so I set my expectations pretty low for this long holiday weekend. Which means I was pleasantly surprised that the weather mostly held off and we were able to get in our Easter festivities! The weekend was busy with egg hunts, family gatherings and a lovely church service. We even had a visit from the Easter Bunny himself at our 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt party! (you can read more about that here)
Easter Sunday
Getting my crew dressed and out of the house on Sunday mornings is always a challenge. (we still haven’t found the belt we were looking for!!) And then asking them to take a picture is another challenge. But it’s always worth it!
2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Last year, we hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for the neighborhood crew and it quickly became a tradition! I know the time is fleeting that the boys will be excited about egg hunts, so hosting this truly gives me so much joy. I recruited the boys to help me stuff eggs this year, and all of the moms drop bags before hand of eggs. I think we had close to 500 eggs this year and the boys even hid them all! (but the hunt always seems to go SO FAST!)
Easter Fun!
I replaced the tulips from my Peeps Vase with some azaleas from the yard.
I finally wore this dress that I purchased several months ago for Easter Sunday! Easter weather is always so unpredictable around here so was happy to have this option ready to go. This dress is no longer available, but I have linked similar options HERE.
My friend made this darling homemade pimento cheese plate. How cute is that?
It’s always fun to capture these casual snippets from our holidays. Hope you had a great one as well. He is Risen!
