Can you believe we are already 1/3 through our 30 Days in a Holiday State of Mind series? I am having so much fun! We will take a break tomorrow and Friday for a couple other things lined up, but back on Monday to continue the series!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I went for it on Monday…
The tubs came down from the attic…
Yep, I am guilty.
Christmas has arrived before Thanksgiving in our household.
Don’t yell at me, I can explain! 🙂
You see, my husband told me on Sunday that he is planning on taking off all next week- yay! What a fun surprise! And my little man doesn’t have school all week either! Sooooo…. technically by the time I have some free time again, it will be Monday December 1st. Three weeks in December is just NOT ENOUGH TIME to enjoy Christmas decor in my opinion! 🙂
I figured it wouldn’t hurt to do the hard stuff (set up the tree, put on the lights) so we can enjoy the fun stuff like adding ornaments while we are all home next week!
That said, if you are like me and hosting Thanksgiving, you might find it difficult to set a Thanksgiving table among the green and red. So I have some inspiration for you.
A Merry Thanksgiving table!
Inspired by my recent Magnolia Leaf Wreath, I used a Magnolia leaf stuck in a pine cone for my name card. Free and free. A gold metallic Sharpie wrote on it perfectly. And yes, Sissy is joining me again in this virtual Thanksgiving dinner. 🙂
The pine cones and pheasant feathers add a fall feeling to it.
And the red plaid gives it the Christmas “nod”.

Beautiful Heather. I too am breaking out the Christmas decor starting tomorrow. Will mix the two for Thanksgiving as well. I want to enjoy this year, and not be rushed. My babies, 21 and almost 25, are not getting any younger!!

I LOVE this! Blue & white, plaid, and animal print–be still my heart! I love using leaves as place cards, too, and metallic Sharpies are one of my favorite things 🙂

I love the combination of your blue dishes on top of the white ones. What a burst of color!
Beautiful table setting! Writing on a Magnolia leaf….free name plates!

Hi Marlene, I LOVE your blue patterned plates! I know it’s been awhile since you posted this, but I am currently on the hunt for that style of dinnerware- where did you get those? Maybe the seller still has similar options in stock.
Thank you!!
