Hey friends! It’s officially summer so I say it’s the perfect time for a Taco Tuesday post! For those of you just joining, I have a series where we taco ’bout all of our favorite Mexican dishes. Turns out lots of us could live on chips and salsa! You are my people. It has been a long time since I’ve shared a Taco Tuesday post so let’s just get right to it. Sometimes the simplest little tips are the best – and this chili lime seasoning is too good not to share!
Tajin Seasoning
Tajin is a seasoning that is described as: “A unique blend of 100% natural chili peppers, lime & sea salt that makes everything bueno, even More Bueno.” It’s not hot or spicy – but just gives an elevated chili and lime flavor. I have had a bottle of it in my spice drawer for a while but had kind of forgotten about it. But my Mom just came back from Mexico where she learned about it and she was SO excited to bring me a bottle of it because like I said- it’s too good not to share! I have been hooked since and have been putting it on just about everything lately! You can find it at most grocery stores or on Amazon here.
I shared that I have been putting it on my eggs and avocado on Instagram stories and when I did I was shocked at the cult fan favorite response. People are passionate about Tajin! I had lots of great responses with how to use it- here are a few:
And to rim margarita glasses
And watermelon!
Try sprinkling it on top of your margarita!!! So good!!!
I keep a bottle in my kid’s lunch for cucumbers and apples!
I use this on everything! So good sprinkles on salmon before you grill/cook it! Fab on corn on the cob – I call it quick street corn!
It’s better on mangoes, watermelon and pineapple! And obvs margarita rims! Ha!
Try it on cucumber and tomatoes with a spritz of lime juice. Or…watermelon. Yes. Watermelon. Seriously so delicious.
And the rim of a margarita
Try it on cucumbers and tomatoes with a spritz of lime juice
Girrrl! On margs, pineapple, pineapple drinks…my kids love it on fruit.
And on pineapple!!!
And then someone blew my mind and sent this picture to me – TAJIN MANGO POPSICLES!?!? I will definitely be looking for these on my next Target run!
Well, how is that for a really easy Taco Tuesday idea? I think some sliced mangos, watermelon and Tajin might just be my next summer salad!
