Is spring break really over? Wow that was fast! We enjoyed our week down at the beach with my parents. I am so glad we were able to enjoy a week away as this was the trip we were supposed to take over winter break but the flu had other plans for us. Bonus- my Mom does all of our laundry while we are there so I didn’t have the usual heap to deal with today as I unpacked! Today I wanted to share a few highlights from the week/weekend…
Last weekend marked a year since we made the offer on our house. It was actually our spring break last year when we were in Jekyll Island that the house came on the market and we made an offer sight unseen from the pool at our hotel. It has been such a fun year making this house our home!
I am still loving this layered rug on the front porch this spring. While we were gone for spring break it seems the pollen has settled down and the first thing I did was get the blower out to give it a good dusting. I will be giving the entire porch a scrub down this week. Allergy sufferers rejoice! We made it through another season of pollen!

I tried a class at Orangetheory Fitness for the first time the week before last. I really enjoyed it and loved the energy in the class. Y’all- I signed up for the Peachtree Road Race which means I need to be ready to run a 5K by the 4th of July… which means I better get on it! Anyone want to come over and make me run?!?!?
Warning- pint-sized Braves player alert. I mean, isn’t this the cutest little Brave you have ever seen? 🙂 I love how all of the teams on our league are named the Braves! Brian took Sweet P to an actual Braves game the other night and they absolutely loved every minute of it. I love that we are at an age that these outings can easily happen.
I always thought people were being dramatic when they complained about the Lego mess. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. No words. Just no words.
We hit up our local bowling alley a few weeks ago and it has since become a family favorite activity. We have gone a couple times with some friends and I am amazed at just how perfect it is for all ages. If you haven’t checked out the Painted Pin in Atlanta, it is definitely worth a visit.
If you live here in Atlanta, then you definitely know the story of Tripp Halstead. I know his story has touched so many. Tripp was around the same age as Sweet P and just like Sweet P they were both into Lightning McQueen. I have been glued to Stacy’s updates since the tree limb fell and still found myself so completely shaken when I heard the news of his passing. Such a sweet boy and family. Here is a picture of a time I ran into Stacy at a charity event and like any good fan girl made her take a selfie with me. She is such an inspiration!
I broke out my new beach cover up this past week and it is exactly what I have been looking for. It is a perfect lightweight dry fit material. BONUS- it doesn’t wrinkle. Definitely size up to allow for lots of length and coverage!
Y’all. We found a real Ghostbuster car while we were at the beach. If you know Sweet B then you know that this was pretty much EPIC. Yes, my 3 year old is obsessed with Ghostbusters and has been since before he could really even talk!
We found this fun new toy at the beach. My kids went bananas for it. It is a wave boomerang. You place it into the waves and it comes back. Highly recommend for some easy fun this summer. NOTE- do not throw into big waves or throw with lots of force. Not that we learned the hard way or anything. #wemayhavebought4
Alright friends. While I love traveling, it’s always good to be back in our routine. Wishing you a wonderful day!
xoxo-
