I have been on a bit of a kick lately with all of my Designer-Inspired Dupe projects. (You can catch up on all of them HERE) What can I say? When something gets in my mind that I love, I sort of obsess over it. For me, there is something so satisfying about looking at an expensive piece and figuring out how to make my own version. Today’s designer inspired project is a Kelly Wearstler Linden Lamp Dupe. And I just LOVE the way it turned out! Read on to see how I made my own version- for a lot less!
THE INSPIRATION: Kelly Wearstler Linden Lamp
The first time I ever saw the inspiration lamp, it was love at first sight. It’s just so fun! The lamp is Kelly Wearslter Linden and is available in black and white… and is also $695.
THE RESULT
So, without further ado…here is my own knock-off version of the Kelly Wearstler lamp dupe!
I found this old lamp at the thrift store before Covid hit and knew it would be perfect for recreating the look at home. It was only $4.99 and had the right shape and even the right lampshade. So I snatched it up and couldn’t wait to get my knock-off lamp started. But then, the world stops and so did alllll of my creative juices and project time…
But then I finally resurfaced and remembered that this old lamp was still waiting for her makeover. So I ordered some wooden beads from Amazon and went to town! Here she is in my fancy craft studio (aka, the dining room table) getting her hob knob detail.
Once the beads were glued on, she went outside for a quick paint makeover with white spray paint.
SUPPLIES: Kelly Wearstler Linden Lamp Dupe
- Lamp to Paint (I found mine at the Goodwill for $4.99)
- Wooden Beads (I used these for $9.99 from Amazon)
- Gorilla Glue (I had this on hand)
- White Spray Paint
All in, this Kelly Wearstler lamp dupe cost less than $20. And while I still LOVE the designer inspiration lamp, I think this one turned out great!

Hi there! Honestly I just eyeballed it, but I did have a general idea of how many across and down I was going to do before I started.

I’m so glad I saw your post. Excellent job and beautiful lamp as a result. I love the idea of upcycling the lamp too.
