Creamy & Dreamy: New Moroccan Shag Rug

in Lifestyle on 08/19/14

Today we are going to chat about a new rug. I must say this is seriously THE most comfortable rug I have EVER set foot on! And one of the final projects we did to get the nursery ready for baby #2.

(And yes, if you are paying attention, baby #2 is almost two months old. Better late than never… right?)

Keno Moroccan Shag Rug RUGS USA

Now if you are like me, you have a hard time making a decision on a rug. It is just such a big part of the room, and usually a big investment!
It was especially hard because we already had a perfectly good rug in the nursery. I found it 3 years ago when I was setting up the nursery for Mr Big Stuff. I think it was about $15.

It would still totally work in this space, but you may recall that I was going for a creamy and dreamy space.

And all of the blue was really not feeling creamy or dreamy. Since the navy rocker was not something we wanted to replace, I thought maybe a new rug would be a good option.

When I saw that Rugs USA was having a Memorial Day sale, the online hunt began. I was looking for some sort of neutral, trellis, graphic print and soft rug… oh and it had to be affordable.

OK, I was committed to a new rug, but then I became completely overwhelmed at the options! Seriously- why do they have to make it so hard!? But, when I came across the Moroccan Shag Rug, I was smitten!

Rugs USA- Keno Moroccan Shag MRC2 Natural Rug
Size: 5×7
Price: $110.40 (this was 60% off)
My notes:
Great price! Love the creamy color

One thing that helped with the decision was googling my heart out to see it in actual rooms. When I found the great review for this exact rug over at House Tweaking  I knew I had a winner.

Also, Cassie at Hi Sugarplum recently took the plunge on a similar rug and it looks amazing in her living room!

It is seriously like walking on a cloud.
So creamy.
So dreamy.

The dog and Parker agree!

Stay tuned for more nursery updates and the final reveal!
This room is just about done… ha, now that the baby is almost two months old! 🙂

If you like this one, there are several others that are very similar too!
Rugs USA- Keno Moroccan Shag Natural Rug
Size 5×8
Price: $104.80 (also 60% off)
My notes:
Best Price! Not sure if the cream is too yellow?

Rugs USA Moroccan Diamond Shag Grey Rug
Size: 5.3x 7.6
Price: $120.00 (60% off)
My notes:
Love the cream and gray, but is the cream too creamy?

Rugs USA-Tuscan Moroccan Shag Ivory Rug
size: 5×7
Price: $201.20 (60% off)
My notes:
Good option, but almost double for something that
looks very similar to the options above?

This is not a sponsored post by Rugs USA. I just thought I would share my rug search in case anyone else is looking for something creamy and dreamy!

Thanks Carmel! Ha, yeah I can't wait for the full reveal either. I have promised myself that I absolutely cannot start on another room in the house until I wrap some current projects up. Case in point= the nursery! Hopefully coming to a blog near you soon! 🙂
