Anyone else have a closet full of clothes, but feel like they have nothing to wear!? The past few weeks I have really been trying to purge and edit my closet so that it makes sense for the reality of my day to day lifestyle. Let’s face it- while I love being a stay at home mom, it is not exactly glamorous! Some days I throw something on with zero thought to run out for morning carpool and find myself STILL wearing it for afternoon carpool. Yikes. But even though my day to day may not be glamorous, I still want to feel put together. So I have really been trying to get my act together and actually try to enjoy the process of getting dressed, getting ready and getting out the door.
The key for me is having staple pieces that work well with lots of other pieces in my closet AND having full outfits thought through before it’s time to run out the door. Turns out you can’t just buy a bunch of clothes and hope for the best! 🙂 If you also feel like you are in a style rut, today I am sharing some elevated casual staples to help you round out your fall closet. Of course, these items would work for anyone that wants to be comfy and casual but feel cute and put together- not just a mom! You could mix and match lots of these pieces to create different outfits- and adding a “fancy” sneaker and crossbody helps to take it all up on a notch.
