For the first time in forever I was recently at the mall with a girlfriend. We were not in a huge rush and we didn’t have any children with us. Cue the confetti y’all! Of course, we bee lined it straight to J. Crew and managed to fill our dressing rooms with all kinds of goodies.
Among the things I grabbed to try on, the sales associate pointed to a camouflage sweater and told me camo was going to be “hot” this fall. Well, I don’t always listen to the sales people and I could pretty much care less about what is “hot” but honestly I kind of have a thing for camo so I just nodded and drank the J. Crew Kool-aid.

I don’t know if it’s the boy mom that comes out in me but I just love a little dose of camo and also have a pair of camo skinny jeans I like to wear in the cooler months. But I totally get it if camo isn’t your cup of tea, it’s still fun to start thinking about your fall wardrobe and this printed sweater could easily be swapped out in any of these outfits for a solid option.

I think the trick to having camo be edgy-prep-girl and not John-Deere-hunter-girl is contrasting it with super feminine touches. Think pink and pearls!
I just booked a trip to NYC in September and I do think this sweater will be a fun layer to bring along.
