Hey friends! Thank you so much for all of your sweet feedback on the kick-off to my closet makeover that I shared earlier this week. Turns out I am not the only one in desperate need of a swift kick in the pants on organization and many of you shared that your closets look even worse than mine. I am so glad I found my people! 🙂 I can’t wait to share how things are coming along next Wednesday with my week two update. I’m telling you, this project is giving me new life and nothing is safe around here from my purging rant.
Aside from feeling the weight of the excess clothes lifted, the biggest benefit of the “Great Purge of 2018” is that I am feeling very inspired by what is left hanging in my closet. I can actually see the cute stuff and am making notes of any gaps I may need to fill. And can we all agree that September is a little bit of an awkward month? I mean after Labor Day everyone starts yammering on about fall but it’s still blazing hot outside. September is all about finding new routines after a laid back summer. It’s that lull before the holiday storm. It’s just a weird time of year where the seasons are in limbo. (Hey Starbucks, keep your PSL away from my margarita mmmmkay?) And what in the world are you supposed to wear?!?
So today I am sharing one item worn five ways that is great for transitioning into fall. I picked mine up last year and really do love it as a perfect fall layer. As soon as I saw the mention of a vest, I instantly pictured an olive green military vests. I’m seeing them EVERYWHERE! My coworkers were dressed in similar outfits you showed and it looks great on all of them (probably a size 6/8 to a 18/20). Super cute. Target had a great one the other day that I should have bought.
