Hey peeps! We are making our way through Maycember and only have 9 school days left. Summer is coming! And with the new season, I have been working on adding a few pieces to my closet and wanted to pop in with a few outfit ideas for you. I must admit, I am really drawn to classic red and navy blue right now not only in my home but also clothes. As you know, navy is my love language but the combination of red and white with it is just so classic and oozes summer goodness!
I picked up a pair of these poppy red shorts at the J Crew Outlet the other day and came up with a few ways to wear them this summer. I am really trying to buy pieces that work with lots of other pieces in my closet and while these shorts are definitely bold, I think there are really endless ways to style them.
So let’s take a quick look. I hope this sparks something new for you to wear in your closet too!

As I mentioned, I am finding myself very drawn to red and blue right now so this was a no-brainer. While the shorts are bold, the earrings really make the statement here. They are made by Shiver & Duke, a local artist and I really love everything she does. The clutch was purchased through my friend Rachael at Stella and Dot, but I linked something super cute from Target that is only $12! (I have the one I linked also and it is super cute in person!) The sandals were a splurge, but I think I have worn them daily since I bought them. When I think about the cost per wear, it sometimes make sense to make the investment.

Turns out not only red and navy is classic, but so is red and turquoise. Next up, I paired the shorts with a classic white tee and a fun clutch. This is such a fun summer combo!

I feel like this one just needs the red dress dancing woman emoji and a flame. #sassy The shorts paired with black and leopard make these shorts feel dressier. This top from J Crew is a staple in my closet and one that I find myself reaching for over and over. Tortoise is so classic and of course leopard is always a good idea!
