Phew, getting back into the swing of things this week and wishing we were still at the beach!
In case you missed it, we were down in the Panhandle of Florida in an area called the Seagrove Beach last week. It was a great trip- great weather, great food, and absolutely no agenda! Mr. Big Stuff is a complete beach bum, kid LOVED the sand, water and waves. Although it wasn’t super relaxing (ahem, wrangling a 2.5 year old at the beach doesn’t exactly add up to reading books while sipping drinks with little umbrellas) we were able to forget about work for a couple days and just connect as a family of three! Hard to believe that is my last out of state trip until we become a family of four!
I have been busy the past couple of weeks on the house and will be back soon with a few project updates (nursery, big boy room, laundry room, master bath, guest room, whew I am exhausted just thinking about it!). But as I sort through the laundry and luggage, I wanted to share some quick and easy DIY art.
In true fashion of Subway art, this lists some of the best landmarks and hidden gems along the coast of 30-A. For anyone not familiar, 30-A is the road that connects the strip of beaches in the area we stayed also known as the Beaches of South Walton. This is a well-known beach destination for Atlantans because it is only about a 5.5 hour drive- one of the closest!
I actually made this DIY art last Christmas as a gift for my in-laws and they have it leaning against a chunky black shelf in the beach house bathroom along with some darling coastal decor.
This was super easy to make and I love the statement it makes in the room!
