Southern State of Mind Blog by Heather

A Small Nook With Big Christmas Cheer

in Christmas on 11/26/19

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying your holiday week. Have you started decorating yet? Honestly, I dragged my feet on pulling the Christmas tubs out this year but am excited to share that the house is pretty much ready for Christmas. Just a few final touches this week and then I can just relax and enjoy it. (oh, and start my gift shopping!!??)

Today I am sharing the first quick stop on my annual Christmas Home Tour-  where I share different areas throughout our house all season long. It’s a quick stop because it’s a small nook. But even though this nook is small, the Christmas cheer is big!

I love opening our home to you every year and hope that you find little moments of inspiration for your own home. So let’s take a peek together! This little nook is in our foyer. Now this foyer is technically a secondary foyer and I have never shared this space on the blog. That’s because there was never anything to share before! This summer we inherited this great secretary desk when Brian’s mom downsized. And from there- an entire new “nook” was born.

Come to mama, cute little Christmas nook! 🙂

This spot got a cheerful dose of Christmas with a few Nutcrackers from our collection, along with some greenery on the top of the secretary. I also framed our Christmas card from last year in a simple acrylic frame and hung a small ornament from the handle.

Very simple but definitely still very festive!

It was fun putting this little vignette together and having a place for a few pieces from our beloved Nutcracker collection.  For lots more inspiration, be sure to check out all of the other vignettes and mantels below.

Merry Merry!

Heather
