December Christmas Front Porch & A Wreath Giveaway

in Christmas, holidays, Our Christmas Home, Porch Life on 12/04/17

Hi friends and happy December! Hope your weekend was great! It seems that December weekends are always pretty spectacular right?! We had a wonderful getaway to Nashville- I am completely smitten with the city- and it did not disappoint with it’s extra festive Christmas cheer.  Not only did we tackle Nashville, I also enjoyed a UGA football win AND we even finished decking the halls. Falalalalalala!  And want to know the best part? We had the perfect amount of wreaths from our previous home to deck the windows in the new house. Yay!

I am delighted to be joining my friends over at 11 Magnolia Lane today as part of the 12 Days of Christmas Tour. Today I am sharing our Christmas front porch and admittedly this might be my favorite spot in the entire holiday house.

Nutcrackers  |  Lanterns  |  Blue & White Planter  |  Boots   | Scarf

It’s really so fun to be able to decorate a new house for Christmas!  There really isn’t much to it, with just a few touches but I guess I just have a thing for this space so seeing it decorated at Christmas brings a smile to my face every time.

A quick “shopping of the house” and I was able to find the copper and blue & white planters for the pointsettias. I did however splurge on the fun red gingham pillows when I found them at the Ballard Designs outlet this fall. I have been chomping at the bit to be able to bring them out!

Nutcrackers  |  Lanterns  |  Chairs  |  Blue & White Planter  |  Boots   | Scarf |  Copper Planter  |
Red & White Gingham Pillows

The large nutcrackers were given to us by my Mother in Law and they are a fun addition flanking the doors. Of course, Sweet B has become obsessed with nutcrackers and tries to have a battle daily. #boymom

The perfect finishing touch on the porch is this lovely wreath from Lynch Creek Farm. They graciously offered to sponsor the 12 Days of Christmas Tour and I am THRILLED to be able to offer one of these exact wreaths to one of my readers. They have so many pretty options- I had a hard time deciding which one to order.

I ended up going with Frozen Pine Wreath and I couldn’t be happier. If you’d like to win one There are 2 ways to enter:

  • follow Lynch Creek Farm on Instagram, then comment on my own Instagram on the wreath giveaway post
  • comment here on this blog post

Giveaway winner will be announced this Friday, December 8th.

We have a real tree inside so this is a fake one for the porch. I kept it super simple and didn’t even trim it with ornaments. The twinkle lights are all this one needs!

The ferns were looking rough so I replaced them with Rosemary topiaries I found at Home Depot. They smell DIVINE every time I walk through the front steps. BONUS- I am planning on planting them in the garden later.

Thank you for joining me on the tour of the Christmas front porch today. I will be sharing the rest of the house soon along with a few more project tutorials.

No wonder you had such a hard time picking which one would be perfect for your home. They are all lovely wreaths. I do love the Holly wreath myself. It is just so unusual.
I love nutcrackers and bring out my collection for the Christmas season. Such a great treat to look at them and enjoy them.

Oh! So pretty! I love how you brought in the blue & white container with the poinsettia, that little touch with the plaid is such an elegant mix. I never imagined pairing the two together and I just love it!
