I love lighting candles in the kitchen this time of year because of the coziness it adds to our home. Since the boys had virtual school last week and the weather was rainy and cold all weekend, I decided it was the perfect time for my first craft of 2021. So I made this cute little snowman candle using Dollar Tree supplies and things I had on hand around the house.
This snowman candle would be such a great and easy gift to make for a group of teachers or friends if you need a cute winter gift idea. Now sing along with me…. Do you want to build a snowman?
Read on to see how!
DOLLAR TREE SNOWMAN CANDLE SUPPLIES:
- White Glass Candles (I got mine at Dollar Tree to use as emergency candles)
- Black Paint, Paint Pen or Sharpie
- Orange Paint, Paint Pen or Sharpie (or could just use black)
- Ribbon or fabric scrap
- Optional- glue gun or glue dots
To make this, I just used a black paint pen to draw the eyes and a few dots for the smile. For the carrot nose I used a small paint brush and some orange craft paint I had in my stash. For the scarf it’s just a few inches of ribbon! My scarf was sticking out a bit so I did add a few glue dots but this is not necessary.
I got this idea from my Mom’s crafty friend who makes 12 of these cute little snowmen for a group of friends for Christmas – here is her cute version.
Did you get to enjoy a White Christmas this year? We got some flurries Christmas Eve which was still quite thrilling for this southern family, but nothing to get too excited about. We are still waiting for some snow days around here to make a snowman, but for now making a snowman candle will have to do.
