While summer doesn’t “officially” start for two more weeks, I always feel like Memorial Day kicks off summer so I am excited to share some really fun summer picnic ideas with you today. We are knee deep in boxes with only 4 more sleeps in our house until the BIG MOVE so I am thrilled to have a reason to take a little break today and find some good summer entertaining ideas!

It’s the first Wednesday of the month and that means it’s time for another volume of the DIY Housewives series. Each month, 12 bloggers partner up to share past projects from a specific theme- this month it is all about PICNICS- just in time for summer. For those of us that have been blogging for awhile, this is a fun way to share some of our old projects with new readers.

Today I am revisiting one of my favorite ways to entertain in the summer- a Low Country Shrimp Boil. This has become a tradition each summer and my mouth is actually watering just thinking about it! I can’t wait to host our first shrimp boil in the new house- and here are some tips for hosting one yourself.
