This past weekend we kicked off our neighborhood Friday night spring happy hours at our house. This is one of my favorite neighborhood traditions and we just love hosting the crew! Of course, the beautiful spring weather resulted in the Friday night happy hour rolling into a weekend-long Masters Tournament viewing party so we were able to enjoy our outdoor space all weekend. Since I often get asked about the exterior of the house including what color it is (spoiler alert: Ballet White Benjamin Moore) I figured I would snap a few pictures on my phone before everyone arrived on Friday so I could take you on a virtual tour of the yard and finally share all of the exterior details.
So let’s take a stroll! Welcome to Peach Valley.
PEACH VALLEY FRONT VIEW: Exterior Paint Color- Ballet White Benjamin Moore
This house was originally a one story that has been added on and remodeled two times as far as I know. When we purchased it two years ago, all of the updates and remodeling you see here (and interior) had been done. The paint color of the house is Ballet White Benjamin Moore and the shutters, back doors and front porch ceiling are done in Chelsea Gray Benjamin Moore.

One of the most asked questions I get is about our wooden front door. Unfortunately, I don’t have a source for these doors. But I do love how much light they let in and the stain color perfectly accents the lanterns and slate floor.

BURLAP BOW | BLUE & WHITE GARDEN STOOL | WICKER CHAIRS | BARN STAR
JUTE RUG | STACKABLE WICKER CHAIRS | LARGE LANTERN
Another question I get asked often is about our porch light fixtures. There are three that go across the length of the porch and then a pair mounted that match on either side of the garage doors. These exact pendants are aged copper electric lanterns made by Flambeaux Lighting in New Orleans. I no longer see these exact ones available but found a few similar Aged Copper Lanterns here: Option 1 | Option 2. As you can see here, the front porch ceiling is painted the same Chelsea Gray color as the shutters. It is a great greenish gray and really a nice complement to the slate porch floors and Ballet White exterior paint colors.

Alright, I think that covers the front! Let’s continue to the tour along the side of the house and make our way to the back yard. Here you can see that the walkway is lined with hydrangeas and cypress trees. The pathway lights are on a timer and set to go on at dusk.
Backyard & Outdoor Pavilion Room
So, let’s take a look at the backyard! Here is a view of the back of the house so you can see more of the Ballet White Benjamin Moore paint color and how the outdoor pavilion room ties in with the house. We hung those string lights when we first moved in and they are a fun addition when entertaining.
Here is another angle to show how the backyard, outdoor pavilion and courtyard all connect.

Backyard Landscaping & Turf Lawn
OK, so now let’s keep walking and check out the kids favorite part- the turf lawn! We don’t have any actual grass back here, it is all turf. This has been such a great spot for the kids to play since there is no mud or bugs. It also dries out quickly after a storm. We love how low maintenance it is!
The area between the retaining wall and the boxwood will fill in with Black Eyed Susans so I will hopefully remember to share that once it fills in!
Playground, Trampoline, Ninja Line and Putting Green
Now, I can’t share the backyard and not share the additions that help keep the boys busy. The play house was installed by Play Nation and the trampoline is Springfree – both were left by the previous owners. You can see a small glance at a garden I am attempting next to the playset. There are some mature blueberry shrubs and I added a few more that I transplanted from our previous home. I am also hopeful to have some cucumbers, zucchinis and tomatoes this year, along with some sunflowers. Fingers and toes crossed something grows. 🙂
I had the flag and pole from our previous home and since we didn’t have a great spot for it on the front porch, it found a home on the play set!

The putting green is definitely a fun party addition, but most days it becomes a great spot for the boys to just play with Legos.

Santa brought Sweet P (age 7) this slack line for Christmas this year, and it has definitely been a good source of entertainment. He LOVES American Ninja Warrior and he enjoys doing this and adding various elements to mix things up.
Well, that concludes our outdoor stroll. Thank you for joining me and I hope you enjoyed it! Hopefully I answered all of your questions, but please drop me a comment if there is anything I missed.

I just stumbled across this article in looking for exterior paint colors. Curious after four years if this is still your current exterior color scheme?
Heather says
