Today we are continuing our week-long “Eat, Drink & Be Thankful” series with a new Thanksgiving tradition idea. I am so excited to be partnering with today to share this unique twist on Thanksgiving with tips on how to host a “Grateful for Girlfriends” Ladies Lunch.
I love the idea of gathering your girlfriends as a way to celebrate your friendship and show them how thankful you are for their love and support all year. Read on for lots of inspiration to help you plan your own Grateful for Girlfriends Friendsgiving Ladies Lunch.
GRATEFUL FOR GIRLFRIENDS LADIES LUNCH – Tablescape:
I say if the girls are coming over, you have an excuse to go all out in the flower department! I had fun using the traditional fall colors of golds, oranges and browns, but absolutely loved mixing in pinks and purples for a feminine touch.
For the color scheme, I pulled inspiration from these vintage floral plates I found at the thrift store a few months ago. I have been looking for an excuse to use them, and my Grateful for Girlfriends lunch is perfect! Everything else I had on hand and it was fun to mix the feminine floral plates with the DIY Antelope Chargers I made last year.
I also think mixing and matching different floral patterns and plates would be adorable. It’s always fun to pull everything out and see what you can put together using what you have. Sometimes it’s hard to find a reason to use old family china, and this could be a great excuse to put it to use.
If you do end up using a mix and match grouping of plates, the flowers are a great way to pull everything together.

GRATEFUL FOR GIRLFRIENDS LADIES LUNCH – Menu:
As far as the menu, remember one simple rule- keep it simple! This is where comes in. They consider themselves Friendsgiving Headquarters because they can provide fully-cooked entrees and easy to serve sides and desserts. It truly is great to have a one-stop shop to get everything you need, just place the food on your own pretty dishes and serve!
A few highlights include:
Honey Baked Turkey Breast: topped with the same sweet, crunchy glaze as the hams
Heat-and-Serve Side Dishes: 10 options to choose from- simply heat, serve and enjoy
Dessert- end on a sweet note with either Pecan Pie, Triple Chocolate Cake or Caramel Apple Walnut Pie
I am also thrilled that is offering a unique discount for my readers- you can receive $3 OFF A TURKEY BREAST between the dates of November 12-29. This coupon can be accessed by and can be redeemed in-store.
GRATEFUL FOR GIRLFRIENDS LADIES LUNCH – Centerpiece:
As I mentioned, I think a Grateful for Girlfriends lunch is the perfect excuse to go all out with flowers. This one is not only a great centerpiece perfect for your gal-pal together…
it also breaks apart to pull double duty as gratitude gifts for your girlfriends to take home! (all the details on this tomorrow) Talk about keeping it simple! Don’t let the stress of entertaining prevent you from hosting!
I hope you feel inspired to host your very own “Grateful for Girlfriends” ladies lunch this year. Remember the most important thing is to keep it stress free and enjoy! Be sure to check back tomorrow where we continue our “Eat, Drink & Be Thankful” series.
