A few years ago, I purged my recipe books and binders. It felt great to get rid of everything I wasn’t using and make room for some new recipes to try. I also made a pretty printable for the 3-ring binder that holds all of our favorite recipes. I use it ALL THE TIME and am so thankful I finally got myself organized so I know exactly where to find our favorite recipes.
So for week 2 of the “Hosting with Confidence” Series I am doing this year (you can see week 1 HERE)- I am revisiting this project and creating a second recipe binder that focuses on our favorite recipes to serve while hosting. As you know, we are preparing for the lake house build to be done later this year (you can read up on that HERE), and I think this is something that I will be so thankful to have on hand. It’s going to be my very own custom cookbook full of our faves for hosting!

I know there are lots of apps and Pinterest and Instagram for these sorts of things, but I am not ready to part with my paper recipes. This is how I stay inspired when I don’t know what to make. This is how I feel confident when it’s time to host. This is how I don’t waste time scrolling looking for that recipe I saved somewhere along the way. This is how I can make my grocery list when planning for a holiday. There is really just nothing better than having it all in one place and ready to go!
For this “Favorite Recipes for Hosting Binder”– here is a list of the categories:
Breakfast
Apps
Main Dishes
Side Dishes
Soups/Salads
Dessert & Drinks
Holiday
Making this binder brings me joy because I now feel inspired when I reach for this binder instead of being scattered and spending way too long hunting down what I am looking for. I plan to get myself organized this year fine tuning our favorite recipes and can’t wait to fill this binder up!

Such a pretty binder! Are you able to show a recipe page? That is, how did you print out the recipes? Are they on recipe cards in pockets, full sheet printouts in a paper protector, etc.? Would love to see for some inspiration. Thanks!
It’s a combination of magazine pages, printed computer sheets and hand written recipes. I do lots of the plastic sleeves to hold them but some are just 3 hole punched computer pages. It’s a mix! The binder pages go into a plastic sleeve.
