Wow, and just like that we are days away from a brand new year! If you are like me, you haven’t actually seen the New Years Eve ball drop in a couple years. Something about being pregnant and then having infants really halts New Years Eve party plans doesn’t it? This year, I intend to rectify that and ring in 2016 actually awake. #momgoals
While I plan to be awake, that doesn’t mean we will be going out on the town. We have a low key night planned with some neighbors. But who said just because it’s going to be low key we can’t have a little fun?! You know I love making ordinary things feel special so I decided to make a cute DIY Pipe Cleaner Headband using metallic pipe cleaners and some plastic headbands.
We actually had these headbands from a Christmas party in our neighborhood a few weeks back. (and yes we were Dancer and Prancer.) I just pulled the reindeer part off and gave them a quick coat of gold spray paint to repurpose them for New Years Eve.
I went with two really easy designs and all I used to make them was the headband and pipe cleaners. For this one, I just used gold and silver and created three stars. Then just twisted a few extra pipe cleaners to wrap the headband.
For the 2016 version, I used pink and silver and created numbers with the pipe cleaners.
This DIY Pipe Cleaner Headband took me about 5 minutes to make each one and I think they turned out pretty cute.
Alright. Now it’s time to get wild and crazy.
Because nothing says wild and crazy like a DIY Pipe Cleaner Headband. ha ha
Do you have anything fun planned for New Years Eve? Even if its low key why not bring some props to ring in the new year and make it feel special!
Happy New Year! Make life fun.
