Today I am sharing a never before seen space in our home! It’s one of our downstairs guest bathrooms that is off of our home gym. I guess you can say I’ve been in a bathroom state of mind these days since I just shared the boys shared bathroom reveal as well. Similar to my boy’s bathroom, this bathroom sat ignored since the day we moved in over 2.5 years ago. While I always loved the bones of this bathroom from the sconces to the chandelier to the dresser vanity to the gold mirror… it was a blank slate and needed someone to give it some loving.
While it wasn’t high on the list of priorities, every time I walked in here I would utter to myself “Heather, do something with this room.”
But it sat.
Then I stumbled upon a pair of fun framed bird prints and said to myself “Heather these would be cute in the bathroom.”
So I got them.
Then they sat propped up against the wall.
So after walking in this room and getting annoyed with myself for the 467th time about the leaning frames on the floor, I finally decided it was time to find something to help pull this space together.
And I knew just the thing…
A new rug!
I figured out my measurements, gave myself a $50 budget and shopped around on Etsy. After a few weeks of checking, I finally found THE ONE! The colors were perfectly muted for what I was looking for and I anxiously awaited it’s arrival.
Once it arrived, the room easily came together! I finally hung the bird art that I had found months ago….

I shopped the house and this red plaid ottoman found a home in this nook along with some fun thrifted paintings….
Then I found this large thrifted floral painting for around $10 and it happily landed on the opposite wall….
The cafe curtain, chandelier and sconces were here when we moved in, but I think they perfectly accent this “collected” look in here now!
I guess sometimes it’s better to wait to buy something until you know what you are looking for rather than forcing it. And I sure am happy I found this rug to help pull this bathroom together.
I had great success with this Etsy seller, the rug showed up in 2-3 days and it is beautiful! Obviously, it’s a one of a kind so I found some great options all under $50 and linked them below if you are looking for something similar to help pull your bathroom together! Etsy has TONS of options and you can search by price point and sort by lowest to highest price so you can stay within your budget. I love that I was able to pull the space together and add lots of character for under $50!

It looks fantastic Heather. I love the prints, and the rug. I never would have thought to look on Amazon for prints. They would go great with some of our hunting dog prints.

Thanks! And yes, that print may need to rotate somewhere else in the house so it can have it’s 15 minutes of fame around here!
