A few years ago, I started a 20 Minute Organizing series. This was mostly to motivate myself to tackle the small spaces around the house in 20 minute increments. I mean, we all have 20 minutes to deal with a space in our home that is driving us crazy! I think just about every nook and cranny could benefit from a 20 minute organizing session!
And my junk drawer was no exception. Warning. The before is a HOT MESS! Seriously, how did I let it get this bad?
So I just got up and got busy DEALING!
I took everything out and decided what should stay and put all the other random stuff away or tossed. (Ahem, I’m looking at you golf balls)
Then came the fun part- I added some leftover zebra removable wallpaper from the guest room makeover as a drawer liner. Isn’t that a cute little surprise? I think a fun placemat or even maybe some pretty wrapping paper would work too!
The only stuff to go back in was stuff that belonged and I am wondering why I didn’t do this sooner. 20 minutes…and another little nook and cranny that now makes me smile when I open it! Oh, and how what a great bonus it is to know exactly where the tape and Sharpies are when you need them.
XOXO
Heather
