Southern State of Mind Blog by Heather

Part 2: The New Playroom (After)

in Lifestyle on 03/19/14

Yesterday I filled you in on a little project we have been scheming up to get the house situated for the little man’s arrival in July. What was a lovely (unused) sunroom- is now a playroom!

Read about the before- Part 1: A New Playroom (Before)

Today I am back to share the after!
And because we all LOVE some good before and after shots- I
have included both for your viewing pleasure.
What started as a wall dividing the rooms….
THE BEFORE:
Is now a completely open space!
THE AFTER:
Here is a shot from the living room…
THE BEFORE:
And the same view with NO WALL!
THE AFTER:
View of brick wall into the dining/kitchen room…
THE BEFORE:
And with NO WALL!
THE AFTER:
I love the flood of light that come through the house with this wall down now. I love that I can make dinner in the kitchen and have one eye on Mr. Big Stuff. I am so so happy with this new found space in our home.
Check back tomorrow for more details on how we corralled the toys using what we have!

Knocking down a wall seems to be a pregnancy tradition. I did it 42 years ago too. Such fun. Love your blog

Wow Heather I can't get over the difference. It looks amazing. I have been eyeing taking out part of a wall from our kitchen to dining room, but the Mr. is not on board. I am going to show him these pictures. Amazing!!!

I saw your house tour today on The Picket Fence! I am guessing you want to open what you are referring to as the Florida room? PS- your house looks AWESOME!

What a difference Heather! That decision of yours to open up the space truly made the whole house look bigger and more space for the kiddos too to romp on!
