This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!
Even though it’s only January it’s time to start thinking about S P R I N G and all of the fun upcoming holidays! Around this time I like to start thinking about Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, the Kentucky Derby, Cinco de Mayo… so many fun reasons to celebrate in the coming months. This year more than ever I have decided to create some extra special memories around these holidays with the kids at home because let’s face it: there isn’t much else going on. Sigh.
I know we are all missing our friends. Missing sporting events. Missing hosting extended family. Missing entertaining.
That is why I am planning to go above and beyond at home with the kids this year to celebrate the little things. If 2020 taught me anything it’s that we can truly still have fun at home. I am thrilled to partner with Christmas Tree Shops and That! to share our fun St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Leprechaun Breakfast we have planned. This year, March 17th is a Wednesday and we have late start for school every Wednesday. Our timing works out great to have a festive breakfast before school. However, this would also be fun to pull off the weekend before if a breakfast before school does not work for you.
With the help of Christmas Tree Shops andThat! I grabbed a few special items for our Lucky Leprechaun Breakfast. It’s always a fun outing to pop over to my nearest location (up in Kennesaw, GA) and do some shopping. I always find exactly what I am looking for… and so much more.
Lucky Leprechaun Breakfast || LINENS & PAPER PRODUCTS
So let’s take a closer look at the Lucky Leprechaun items I will be using for our breakfast. First up- the item that gave me my starting point- the table runner. As soon as I saw that fun rainbow and horseshoe table runner- I knew it would become the focal piece for our table. I guess I was just “lucky” to spot this right away because from there it was easy to pull everything together.
Once I had table runner, I snatched up that shamrock patterned tablecloth. There were several to choose from but I am a sucker for mixing patterns and I just loved all of those pretty greens together. I knew I wanted some more black and gold to tie into the table runner so the black marble plates and gold cups were perfect. Yay for easy for clean up! Thankfully they had an entire St. Patrick’s Day section so it was easy to just grab everything I needed and be on my way.
Lucky Leprechaun Breakfast || CENTERPIECE
When I saw these cute glitter shamrock picks, I immediately thought I could make a “flower arrangement” using them! Each package was only $1- and I grabbed two of them- so my centerpiece only cost $2. So much less than fresh flowers and I also appreciate that I can use these again.
Lucky Leprechaun Breakfast || RAINBOW FOOD
I buy sugary cereals approximately twice a year. Once at St. Patrick’s Day and then again when we are at the beach for our family vacation over the summer. It’s become quite the tradition! To display the magically delicious cereal and milk, I am using a pair of carafes. Doesn’t this just make it feel more special than out of a cereal box?
I also found a package of magically delicious marshmallows and placed them in a cloche. These things don’t stand a chance around here.
And last but not least, the rainbow fruit platter. I found this great monogram serving platter at a previous trip to Christmas Tree Shops andThat! and I use it all of the time. It was the perfect piece to display this fun fruit rainbow. I found the “LUCK” letters as well to make it even more festive.
This turned out so cute!
