Hey friends! I’m back today with another Taco Tuesday post. This time we are taking our taco night outside for an at-home-family-fiesta. For those of you just joining, I have a new Taco Tuesday series where we taco ’bout our love of all things Mexican food. Turns out lots of us could live on cheese dip, chips and salsa. You are my people. Today’s post is a slight variation because instead of sharing a favorite Taco Tuesday recipe, I am sharing fun Taco Tuesday table setting inspiration.
I know we are all missing our favorite Mexican restaurants after staying home – but I say bring on the tacos at home for your very own at-home fiesta.
I thought it would be fun to make our usual Taco Tuesday night feel a bit more festive and had a blast setting a pretty table out on the patio for my crew to enjoy. It’s always fun to set a pretty table, but with everything going on, we certainly aren’t doing any entertaining or hosting dinner parties. And we sure to miss dining out our favorite Mexican restaurants. But that doesn’t mean I still can’t set a festive table for my family.
With the help of Christmas Tree Shops andThat! I had fun picking up items for all of my outdoor entertaining and tablescape needs. My nearest location (up in Kennesaw, GA) is open (following all of the safety guidelines!) and it was a much needed escape to run over there and do some shopping. I love that they have so many home decor options for such a great value. I think you will agree when I share all of the festive fiesta finds below.
So let’s take a closer look at the Outdoor Fiesta Family Dinner table setting items. If you’ve been around here long, you know my go-to faves are blue and white. Which is why as soon as I saw those pretty blue and white bowls, I snatched them right up! I knew they would be a great first piece to work with.
Then I hit the linen section and it was love at first sight when I saw that blue, lime green and turquoise table runner. Can we taco ’bout how perfectly festive that is? It has the perfect colors and was definitely the perfect piece to pull this table together.
Once I had the bowls and table runner, it was fun to wander around and select the remaining pieces. I loved those inexpensive round place mats in that beautiful blue color.
SOUTHERN HEATHER TIP: Because they are were so affordable, I purchased 8 of them, even though this table only holds 4.
This way I have plenty when I need to set a bigger table. No more mismatched place mats!
When I found this display of sauce bowls- my heart skipped a beat. The colors were perfect and the patterns scream fiesta! They are perfect for holding salsas and dips and I also purchased 8 of these to have on hand! So cute. I also couldn’t resist that cute lime bowl for serving up lime slices. Won’t that be so cute sitting on our bar as well?
For my serving pieces, I like to stick with white so that they will work with any season or table. I love this big platter serving dish for serving up tacos, but I think it will be a great piece I can use for lots of different dinners.
