Good morning friends!
Today continues the Christmas tour and we are making our way into the dining room. (if you missed it, here is the foyer and the family room) Now, if you’ve been around here long, you know we gave up our formal dining room to gain a 4th bedroom for guests when Sweet B came along. Overall, I haven’t missed it much and love the added bonus because what is now our eat-in kitchen dining space has a mantel and fireplace.
So while I can’t set out fancy dishes and use really nice formal chairs, that’s ok because we aren’t fancy people. I love that we use every part of our home, every day.
Plus now we can cozy up at the table and light a fire in the morning which makes even a mundane weekday breakfast feel special. Add some lighted greenery across the mantel and I just may never leave this spot!
I love using simple garlands on the mantel and this lighted garland from Tree Classics is perfect. Of course, I had to add some magnolia leaves from the yard because clearly I am obsessed as seen here, here and here.
On the other side of the dining room, I used a lighted wreath to spell the word JOY in the windows. I may just need to keep this up all year, what a great reminder in the morning as we eat breakfast! It’s hard not be to JOYful with this beautiful decor out.
I love this lighted greenery and was thrilled to participate in this fun blog hop with Tree Classics. This is their Kennedy Fir Wreath and Garland- it is really beautiful. You can see here how real it looks.

Love that gray wall and how pretty the greenery looks on it! Of course a southern gal always has some magnolia leaves in her greenery:)

Love what you did with the garland, Heather! The magnolia leaves complement the greens of the garland perfectly. I’m also with you on hanging a wreath on your window. I’m always quick to point out that windows are often “missed opportunities” when it comes to home decorating. In fact, I talked about it in one of our posts on the Tree Classics blog while featuring tips on creating a winter motif. Your window looks so joyful with that wreath on there!
