I am finally feeling caught up with life and was able to sort through all of the pictures from our time at the beach. I am STILL not caught up on laundry…but actually now that I think about it, I haven’t been caught up on laundry since 2010.
If you missed Part 1, let me get you caught up. Back in July, the Sweets and I spent around a month with my parents down at the beach. For Part 1 of this series, I shared our Top Ten Things to Do in Daytona. Today I am going to share the comings and goings of our trip.
Honestly, we didn’t have much of an agenda. The only thing I wanted to do was visit with family, enjoy the boys and embrace the relaxed schedules.
I think we went to the beach every day. Yes, that is 24 days in a row. Sometimes it was only for an hour, sometimes it was for an entire morning or afternoon.
At the start of the summer, I could barely get the little one in the sand. By the time we left, I could not get him out of the waves.
This is exactly the reason I am so thankful to make this trip. To make memories and have the boys grow up exploring the best playground in the world.

Chilling at Ponce Inlet…
One morning when we were all a little “beached out”, we took a trip over to the Ponce Inlet Marine Science Center. This is a perfect affordable spot for a change of pace with a stingray touch pool and a turtle hospital.

Daytona is so much more than just Racing!

SO much more! I haven’t even been to a race… but that is on the list for another summer, maybe when the boys are older!

I love that you get to take such an extended vacay with the boys and have family time, but some mama time, too! Awesome pics 😉 So glad you had a great time!

Thanks for the great travel tips. We are moving to Orlando because of my husband’s job. Daytona isn’t that far away and I’m sure we will visit.

Hi Rachel! We lived in Orlando for 3 years back in 2006-2009 and visited Daytona Alllllll. The. Time! It was an hour door to door and the perfect getaway. Good luck with the move and let me know if you have questions about the area!
