T-minus 6 days until Halloween and the Halloween Hoopla is in full effect around here. The kitchen table is covered with candy, painted pumpkins and random costume parts and I have just given up on having it cleared until November.
Well, probably January if I am being honest… Tis the season! 🙂
But it’s FRIDAY- so let’s get to chatting! Grab your coffee (and a handful of candy corn) and meet me on the porch!
PORCH GOALS
This picture stopped me in my tracks this week! Talk about Halloween #porchgoals! (photo is @thepartywagon) I thought I was getting a collection of these fun terra-cotta Jack-o-Lanterns until I saw this!
HO HO HO- Two Months to go!
Not to make you choke on your coffee or anything, but Christmas is officially two months from today. If you are like me, you are thinking “just let me get through Halloween first please”! But I am working on my blog calendar and would love to hear from you on what holiday content would be most helpful to tackle here on the blog? Of course I’ll be sharing some house tours and simple gifting ideas, but what do you struggle with the most as you prep for Christmas?
GUSSIED UP HUMMUS
My friend served this hummus at our neighborhood happy hour last week. It’s from Costco, and it was truly delish! She also did something to make it extra yummy. She added feta cheese on the top and diced yellow bell peppers. So simple but so tasty. I have never thought to gussy up hummus like this.
DIY ART
When we moved my mother in law a few months ago, I held onto this big piece of art that she wasn’t going to be able to use in her new place. I figured I could do something with it and pulled it out this week.
Would you believe that with a can of $4 white spray paint and some black paint I turned that into this? I am going to hang it at the hubby’s office. My inspiration came from this Anthropologie art, which is a mere $600. I will gladly keep the extra $596 thankyouverymuch.
WHEN IN THE HOLY LAND
My mom rode a camel this week! How cute is she? My parents are currently visiting the Holy Land and I cannot wait to hear all about their trip!
RUN FORREST RUN
Need a cute couples Halloween costume idea? My friend Sarah at Life On Virginia Street dressed up as Forrest Gump and Jenny a few years ago and I really wish I had an adult party to dress up for this year! Isn’t this just so perfect?
FALL LAYERS
In case you missed it, I shared this fun Cape Scarf yesterday in my Style My Closet Update Post… and they are carrying a similar one this year in gray- and it’s on sale for $15! Such a cute fall layer!
Happy weekend!

Hi! I have just found your blog and am loving it so far. Thank you! I am loving that cape scarf, but it keeps showing up for me as $29.99. How can I get another $15 off? Wondering what I was missing. Thanks! Bonnie

Thank you!!
I’ve tried that hummus; it’s delicious! Topping it with diced peppers is a great idea. I am enjoying your closet challenge. Hope you been working on a tutorial for the plaid scarf in your day #8 outfit. I love scarves and am looking forward to trying to replicate your knotted style!
Sorry we are going to miss Halloween this year, Post some family photos! We are having a very good learning experience in Israel! The Bible really does come alive!
