Another 10 days down on the Style My closet Challenge! We are now in the home stretch with only 10 more days to go. I am still really enjoying this little challenge and love having an excuse to find “new” clothes in my closet every day. Click here to catch up on Part 1 that includes Days 1- 11.
For those of you just checking in, my friend Rachael and I put together a 31 day style challenge for the month of October to help motivate us to be more intentional about our closets and what we wear every day. We called it Style My Closet Challenge and you can read all about it here.
So with that, let’s take a look at what I’ve come up with for the past 10 days! Obviously the whole point of this challenge is to wear what I *ALREADY* had in my closet, but I did try to source some of the pieces for you if I could!
STYLE MY CLOSET CHALLENGE- PART 2
12. LET’S GO APPLE PICKING
I love this cape scarf from J Crew a few years ago and the apple picking theme was perfect for it! I found a similar one that J Crew is carrying this year in gray- and it’s on sale for $15!
Cape Scarf | Tortoise Necklace
13. ANIMAL PRINT IS A NEUTRAL
I took this one literal- with a neutral animal print! I love this blouse and love that I had a reason to wear it on this challenge as it one that I definitely do not pull out very often.
Cream Cardigan | Tortoise Necklace | Camo Purse
14. CLASSIC CORDUROY
Sherpa Vest | Leopard Booties | Chambray Top | Camel Cord Skirt
15. WEAR WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY
16. PUMPKIN SPICE, EVERYTHING NICE
This plaid tunic and sherpa vest are getting their mileage this fall. I haven’t bought much, but glad I snagged these two pieces before NYC as I have been wearing them tons!
17. VEST LIFE IS THE BEST LIFE
18. LAYER LOVE
I had fun with this one! Who doesn’t love layering when the weather has such swings during the day? I hadn’t pulled out my utility vest, so glad to have a reason to wear it on layer love day.
19. VINTAGE VIXEN
This might be my favorite day yet though! Here is the back story:
The year was 1971. Nixon was president and my mom was a new bride on her honeymoon in Niagara Falls. Fast forward 48 years to my sister and I helping mom clean out the attic. Imagine our delight when we found this dress she wore on her honeymoon… and that it actually fit me! Yay for an excuse to rock this vintage dress!
20. PUMPKIN PATCH OR BUST
21. TEAM SPIRIT
LOOKING AHEAD:
22. COZIED UP SCARF STYLE
23. MATCH THE FALL LEAVES
24. BOO-TIFUL BOOTIES
25. LET’S GO NEUTRAL
26. STRIPES ARE ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA
27. GLITZ AND GLAM
28. CARDIS, COATS & BLAZERS – OH MY
29. LIFE IS SHORT, WEAR CUTE SHOES
30. FEELING WITCHY
31. FABOOLOUS AND FESTIVE

So happy you and Wendy found that dress in the attic and that you can wear it!
I loved that dress back in the 70’s and hope you can wear it a few times!

I have loved the Style your Closet posts! Such a simple, but great idea. Do you happen to have a source for the animal print blouse you wore with the cream cardigan?
Thanks Cheryl. That blouse was from C. Wonder which sadly is no longer in business. Wish I could source it for you! Since this challenge was to use what was in my closet so it makes it hard to find current items.
