I just cannot wait for our family to arrive in a few days for Thanksgiving! To make them feel welcome and extra special, I added a couple festive holiday touches to the guest bedroom.
I am definitely getting ahead of myself this year-
Christmas before Thanksgiving. But tried to keep it understated with just a few simple touches to the guest room.
1. FESTIVE BEDDDING:
I was lucky to find this Pottery Barn Duvet at the Goodwill. The red toile bedding is a perfect festive touch.

2. WARM THROW BLANKETS:
Make your guests feel cozy by offering some warm and comfy throws around the room.
3. A FEW HOLIDAY TOUCHES:
Here you can see the wreath in the window and a stocking on the dresser. Less is more and just a few small details will go a long way.
4. FRESH GREENERY:
This is something that can be free but really shows your guests that the room has been prepared just for them. Here I cut some red berries and evergreen from the yard.
5. BASKET OF GOODIES:
I love including a little basket of things they may have forgotten. I also hang a freshly cleaned robe on the door so they will feel right at home.
How do you show your guest a holiday welcome in the guest bedroom?
Merry Thanksgiving!

The room looks great and definitely welcoming. I love fixing up rooms for guests to make them feel extra special. I always thought it would be so fun to have a B&B.

What a lovely room! Love the toile! The berries and greens from the yard is just what I like to do! I brought in bittersweet and acorns for the fall. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your precious family! Linda

I leave some goodies in the guest room for them – a little candy or chewing gum, a small basket of toiletries, and plenty of throws or blankets so they can cuddle up. I leave some magazines or a few good books and often a vase of fresh flowers.
