Housewarming Gift in a Jar

in Gather, Happy Homemaker, Inspiration, Simple Gifting on 08/06/14

Do you have any new neighbors? Looking for great housewarming gift ideas? We have new next door neighbors and I am just so excited to welcome them to the neighborhood. Have I ever mentioned how much we love the street we live on? When they moved in I knew I wanted to drop them a housewarming gift. But you know how I roll. I love to give gifts that are functional. Things that people USE. If I was a good cook or baker, I would make them a yummy dinner.

But, I am much better at shoving things in a jar and decorating with fabric.

Hey, you can’t be good at *everything* right?!?! 🙂

You know that this is not my first rodeo using a Mason Jar for a gift. Or using a jar for a housewarming gift for that matter.

There is just something adorable about using a glass jar for a gift.

I just can’t help myself!

This time I went with a preppy look – green with black and white polka dots.

Housewarming Gift in Jar Supplies:

– Large Mason Jar
– Napkins
-Mrs. Meyers Soap
-Cute Notecard

While at Ikea a few weeks back, I picked up green and white striped napkins. Aren’t they the perfect preppy summer table pick me up? Then of course, I included one of my faves- a bottle of Meyers Lemon Verbana. Seriously, I wish I could carry this with me in my purse.

You want to know what is super fun? They have a chocolate lab just like our sweet Bella. So of course I picked up a bag of gourmet dog treats.

Last in is a quick notecard welcoming them to the street.

This was a really fun and simple way to welcome the neighbors! Because hey, if you share a fence with someone, you better start off on the right foot! You never know when you are going to need a cup of sugar bottle of wine!

Happy day!
