I spent last weekend dehydrating oranges and it was such a perfect November weekend craft. These DIY Dried Orange Slices smell divine! It was fun to do something before the craziness of the holidays that felt festive. I did a full bag of oranges which filled three trays. I already bought another bag of oranges and plan to do another batch soon! 🙂
I plan to use these dried orange slices in my garlands, wreaths, as gift wrap tags and as part of a stove top simmer hostess gift. There is something just so beautiful about this natural product mixed in holiday decor.

Here’s how you can make them too:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Slice oranges about 1/4 inch thick.
Place on parchment paper lined baking sheets.
Bake for 4-6 hours- depending on thickness of slices and your oven.
Flip the oranges every one hour.
Oranges should be dry to the touch when done.

Along with the pretty full slices, I decided to dehydrate the top and bottom slices to not waste any. I think these smaller pieces turned out actually very pretty to include in the stovetop simmer gift bags.
I am so excited to have finally tried this project! Can’t wait to use them this holiday season.
XOXO-
Heather
