Behind the Scenes of the HGTV Dream Home 2019 {Part 2}

in Home Tour on 02/11/19

In case you are just tuning in, I had the pleasure of visiting of Whitefish, Montana and The HGTV® Dream Home 2019 back in December with the Belgard Team. A few weeks ago, I shared Part 1 of the behind the scenes look at the beautiful HGTV Dream Home 2019. Have you entered for a chance to win it yet? Here’s hoping one of my readers is the lucky one to win this home and decides to invite me out! 🙂

I am still dreaming of these stunning views and this beautiful expansive outdoor area designed by Belgard. The inspiration for the home was “Mountain Modern” and I think the designer absolutely nailed it! Pictures don’t do it justice, but these photos from HGTV really help show how all of the outdoor areas come together.

The outdoor spaces were perfectly designed to take full advantage of the views while blending in with the natural surroundings. The design inspiration for the HGTV Dream Home 2019 was all about bringing the outside in. As you can see here, the designer really blurred the lines between the indoor and outdoor spaces with large glass exterior doors that fold completely back to create a seamless transition from the indoors to the out.

Isn’t that an incredible set up? #GOALS! The porch area that has a fireplace and built-in grill features pavers that blend perfectly with the natural stone and wood textures it surrounds.

The outdoor space truly is remarkable and I could have stayed out in this area the entire time I was visiting the home. However, I did take lots of pictures of the bedrooms and there are so many fun details in these spaces too! Read on to see more details on the three bedrooms, loft area and lounge den.

HGTV DREAM HOME 2019 MASTER BEDROOM

First up, let’s take a stroll through the Master Bedroom. This room is on the main floor and attached to the main living room. I love the burnt orange and rustic touches throughout the room.

And check out the view you would wake up to every morning!

The master bathroom had the same beautiful views, and these massive windows and open shower door do a great job of letting lots of light in.

Of course, I had to snap a picture of the Master Closet which is attached to the bathroom. I always love a closet with a floating island.

Moving upstairs, let’s take a look at the other two bedrooms and a loft with bunk beds. The first room made a very bold statement with rich red walls and bedding. But of course, that wasn’t the biggest statement in the room…

Because this book of walls definitely stole the show! The views from this room were the same as the master and while the walls were dark, the room still felt bright.

The other bedroom upstairs also had dark walls but managed to feel very bright. I love this high contrast of the dark walls with the bright headboard and bedding.  The accessories and styling were so “Montana” without feeling kitschy.

HGTV DREAM HOME 2019 LOFT

The loft is the area open to the downstairs between the two bedrooms. It has this work area and a bunk bed. I’d love to know the story behind this large framed photograph. I also love the mismatched chairs and would love to know their history too!

HGTV DREAM HOME 2019 UPSTAIRS DEN

One of my favorite rooms in the house is the upstairs den. The dark navy walls just gave it such a moody feel and so perfect for the cold winter day. Of course, as a mom, I just found so many of the details family friendly and could definitely see my family chilling in this space after skiing all day.

The statement wall in this room was amazing! I studied this very closely and it looks like they blew up a vintage photo and printed on vinyl. After it was attached to the wall, a white frame was built around it. I absolutely love this idea and it reminded me of the big black and white surfer wall from the HGTV Dream Home 2016 in Merritt Island.

In addition to the comfy seating area, this room also had a Peloton treadmill and bike. I love how multi purpose this space is!
