Similar to last year’s guest bedroom, I would love for this room to feel like a boutique hotel room when I am done. So to help overcome the overwhelmed feeling, I have broken it out into four zones to tackle- the bed nook, the sitting area, the built in window seat and the dresser vignette. If I can tackle these four “zones” over the next eight weeks, I will be thrilled!
So, without further ado- let’s take a look the vision!
PRIMARY BEDROOM || THE VISION
This vision board is a great starting point for me to get going on the glow up. It always helps me to have a vision to start with- knowing that it will change as it all comes together. Our current bedroom furniture is a total hodge podge of hand-me-downs and leftovers so we do plan to invest in a few new pieces. Other items are things I already own or will repurpose. Then I’d like to infuse a little color, some fun art, and hang some window treatments to make the space feel more finished.
I can’t wait for our bedroom to feel calm and relaxing. And for it to have some personality! But this is a busy time with spring sports and school wrapping up so I definitely need to HIT THE GROUND RUNNING because the next 8 weeks are going to be a doozie! Be sure to check in weekly for the next 8 weeks as I will be sharing an update here with the progress in this room. And then on May 25th I will share the final reveal. (eek- that is right around the corner!)
