HAPPPPPY FRIDAY!
Can you even believe the weekend is already here! I am so excited because I am heading to Asheville this weekend. Not only have I never been to Asheville (still trying to figure out how this is even possible) but I am also meeting my sister. For a girls weekend. Just the two of us. Let the shenanigans begin!
With spring break season upon us, it seems everyone is looking for a good book to read. So I thought I would share a book I recently read that I could not put down! The book is Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. This book is a couple years old, but it has had a recent stroke of popularity with it’s HBO mini series that just came out. I hopped on the band wagon over the weekend and finished this book in three days. Let me tell you something. Unless I am on a flight by myself, finishing a book in three days has to be some sort of record for a mom with a 5 and 2 year old. But I did it! I am really trying to use my time sitting in the carpool line, or while at tumbling to read or organize my calendar instead of just scrolling on my phone…
The thing I love most about this author is that while her books are page turners, they don’t get into your head with freaky topics. You know those ones that make you lay in bed at night and completely freak yourself out with every creak in the house. I can’t handle stuff like that anymore. But I do like thrillers with the whole “who-done-it” page turner twists and this one fits the bill.
While I did enjoy this book, it wasn’t my absolute favorite of hers, I still like The Husband’s Secret better. Next on my list of hers is What Alice Forgot.
What’s on your nightstand these days? I’d love your recommendations.
Happy Weekend Loves!
xoxo-

I just finished it too! She always has some interesting twists and while I liked this one, I too like The Husband’s Secret better. What Alice Forgot is on my list. Take a look at The Lake House by Kate Morton and see if it’s something you’d like. I loved it! One more favorite is What She Left Behind by Ellen Marie Wiseman. GREAT!!
Have Fun in Asheville!!! Sister weekends are the best!
