It has been really fun to chronicle our adventure here and hope you have enjoyed a little virtual getaway in these freezing temps. Today I am giving a quick run-down on what I wore on the trip. Hubby and I have a “no-check” policy, as in, we don’t check our bags when we fly. Honestly, at first this beloved little rule annoyed me, but there hasn’t been a time that I wish I had more clothes with me once we got to our destination. It actually forces me to pack smarter and edit my clothes to mix and match. Pretty much everything I brought on this trip was clothes from my closet, mainly because there really wasn’t any beach clothes to tempt me in the stores this time of year. 🙂 Even though we weren’t on a cruise, I had a cruise casual vibe for all of my outfits.
Cruise Casual Outfit #1
I did however, have one splurge. When I saw this “Off-Duty” sweater at Lilly Pulitzer, I just had to do it. It just summed up how I felt about the trip so perfectly! This is what I wore for travel day, and the layers were perfect for the warmer temps once we arrived.
Cruise Casual Outfit #2
This lightweight elastic ikat skirt was perfect for hanging around the resort or scooting into the village. It easily went from day to night which is always a good thing when packing light.
Cruise Casual Outfit #3
I paired this flowy orange ikat shirt with white shorts and flips during the day and then with my white jeans and wedges at night. Of course a couple statement necklaces made the trek because they make everything cuter- with very little space taken up in the luggage.
Cruise Casual Outfit #4
This was also a great outfit to wear day or night. And pretty much like wearing pajamas. Double score.
Ahhhhh, these clothes have me longing for warmer weather.
HURRY UP SPRING!
xoxo,
Heather

Love it! I especially love the look of a plaid shirt under a sweater. I love your blue and white plaid shirt!

SO cute, and I would have bought the Lilly sweater, too (her clothes are my weakness)!
