Happy Friday! We made it through another work week!
Well done, ladies, well done.
Speaking of the work week, what a grind, right? Getting ready for work can be so hectic and I typically end up in a rut wearing the same clothes over and over. To help infuse a little fun into my week (what can I say, I am easily amused), I self-dubbed this week my “Kate Spade Inspired Fashion Week”.
Yep, I have been channeling Miss Spade to inspire my wardrobe all week. I think of this style as whimsical, chic, and preppy. (I also think my co-workers are suddenly wondering why I am exclusively wearing stripes and polka dots!)
This self-proclaimed “Kate Spade Inspired Fashion Week” forced me to mix colors and prints that I normally wouldn’t pair and wear a few things from my closet that I had been overlooking for months. To ignite my inspiration, of course I checked out Pinterest for some whimsical eye candy.
Polka-Dot-Palooza
Today was all about the polka dots- who knew I could pull out this many polka dots from my closet? This outfit felt chic and oh-so-girly with a sheer polka dot shirt, black and white polka dot skirt, and polka dot tights. I am still seeing spots…
Green skirt, black and white striped shirt, a black cardigan, and BAM- a black flower belt.
Chunky pearls helped add that preppy chic look.
I am pretty sure I wore the ribbon shoes as a bridesmaid in 2003 and I have not worn them since, but I thought the ribbon added some Kate-Spade-Goodness.
Polka dot dress with a striped sweater. Ribbon belt brought the whimsy
and the navy heels were super girly and chic.
More polka dots paired with pink skinny jeans and a green sweater!
Don’t you love those pink and green kate spade tights? I must get some for next winter!
I would love to hear your ideas!
I love EVERYTHING!!!
