I don’t know if it’s just because of the Peppermint Mocha fueling me but I must admit that I have that holiday pep in my step these days. Not surprising since our Thanksgiving holiday starts today because the boys are off all next week. Today’s Style Favorite outfit is full of festive holiday cheer! Since I’ve had fun putting together the Fall Style Favorite posts the past few weeks, I decided to evolve the series and continue it. So now it is SSOM Style Favorites. 🙂 Hey, this blog is constantly a work in progress people, just like me!
I was talking with a group of girlfriends the other day and we decided that getting dressed for those in between days are really the most challenging. You know, when you don’t want to wear athletic clothes, but you don’t want to be too dressed up to play with your kids or run errands comfortably. The struggle is REAL!
The goal of these posts are to inspire you to try something new in your closet or maybe find a new piece or two to change things up. Today’s outfit was put together using everything from my closet so I can’t source all of the exact items. However, I linked what I could and have also included lots of good plaid and ruffled goodies I would LOVE to add to my closet below.
Green Corduroys | Plaid Ruffled Top | Navy Sweater | Sweater Vest |
Kendra Scott Earrings | Fave Quilted Slip Ons
My friend has dubbed these quilted slip-on shoes the “mom shoes” and I guess she is right. They are the in between running shoes and something dressier. Which is basically perfect for mom life. And I really do wear them All. The. Time. Green Corduroys | Plaid Ruffled Top | Navy Sweater | Sweater Vest |
Kendra Scott Earrings | Fave Quilted Slip Ons
I pull out these green cords every winter and it never fails, I get complimented. It’s actually bizarre but people must love some green pants. And of course, pairing navy with kelly green is like PBJ so this was a natural combo.

The ruffles on the shirt and the bow ruffle on the sweater make this simple outfit a little more festive. And the green Kendra Scott earrings are another staple I pull out this time of year! Her earrings are so classic I just don’t think they will every go out of style.

Like I mentioned above, this outfit is all using things I had, but there are PLENTY of ruffled and plaid pieces I would love to get my hands on- I have linked them here along with some similar items from today’s outfit for you.
Happy Friday friends! Here’s to enjoying every minute of the holiday week!

Thanks Pam! A vest really does help pull it all together doesn’t it? And would you believe I had those same earrings in my car when it got broken into and they were stolen. I had to buy them again I loved them so much!!! 🙂
