20 Minute Organizing || Athleisure Refresh

Raise your hand if you wear athletic wear 90% of the time but have a closet full of clothes you wear 10% of the time. Yeah, same. Not only that, I end up wearing the same couple pieces of athletic wear over and over! Mostly because I grab what is clean from the laundry pile and am on my way. Thankfully I had a light bulb moment the other day as I was getting dressed and rooting around in an overstuffed disorganized drawer for a pair of yoga leggings and a top that might-kinda-sorta match. 

UMMM- why is my closet holding 90% clothes that I wear 10% of the time, only to have to dig around in a drawer to find what I *actually* wear on the daily? It was time to face the music and admit that I needed a new system for my athleisure wear. 

It was time for what I am calling an Athleisure Refresh! Since workout clothes have become such an essential part of my everyday life, I really needed to give these garments the space they deserve in my closet.

For me, I decided to dedicate an entire space in my closet for my refresh. Now I realize that closet space is precious and you may not have any to spare. But perhaps those blazers and dresses that you rarely wear might be able to find another home? Or maybe there is a shelf or drawer you can clear out to house your athleisure wear in a more organized fashion? Of course I also took the opportunity to purge some old stuff and now that the weather is shifting I will be adding my go-to athleisure pullovers here as well. My goal is to have this be a no-brainer for me in the mornings to get dressed before a workout. Just grab and go!

One other tip: I am using kid size hangers for my leggings, tanks and sports bras. It just makes the space feel less bulky and the smaller clothes fit great on the smaller hangers!
