Welcome to our Christmas home! I didn’t prepare a full Christmas home tour this year but plan to share spaces over the coming days with you. I hope you are inspired with a new idea or two and that you feel a warm welcome. Every year it seems I continue to simplify and it truly feels great. Today I am sharing some snapshots of the kitchen island. I hosted a mother/son brunch last week to celebrate the end of exams and this fun centerpiece came together for the celebration. It’s always so fun when something new comes together using things you already have on hand.
As I was setting up for the brunch the night before, I realized I hadn’t really planned anything for the center of the kitchen island. I tried a few things and nothing felt right. But as soon as I grabbed the vintage champagne buckets and a few bottle brush trees- a whole winter wonderland came together.
For this centerpiece, I used:
- A piece of wood from a side table we aren’t currently using.
- Vintage Champagne Buckets
- Mint Julep Cups
- Mercury Glass Votives
- Fresh Greenery from Christmas tree clippings
- Bottle Brush trees
- Votive Candles (battery operated)
- String of Fairy Lights (battery operated)
Merry Merry!
XO-
Heather
