Welcome to our Christmas home! I didn’t prepare a full Christmas home tour this year but plan to share spaces over the coming days with you. I hope you are inspired with a new idea or two and that you feel a warm welcome. Every year it seems I continue to simplify and it truly feels great. But I did have some fun prepping our front door so thought I would start with that today.
OUR CHRISTMAS FRONT DOOR
As I mentioned, I really tried to simplify and while I seem to find a few new things to buy every year, I am very focused on the storage of items all year long since we have limited storage space. So all I bought for this front door look is a fresh garland. So let’s take a look at what I used to make the garland feel more personal.
1. RIBBON
Lately, I have just been focusing on investing in pretty ribbon that I can reuse every year and that is very easy to store.
2. DEHYRDRATED ORANGE SLICES
A few weeks back, I shared that I made some dehydrated orange slices. I have absolutely LOVED having these on hand for decorations and as part of gifts. So to give the fresh garland a little something extra- I started with those. You can see how I made these HERE.
3. MAGNOLIA LEAVES
Then I just added some magnolia bunches around the garland. I do love how the top of the garland looks like a “bow” with magnolias and hydrangeas!
4. HYDRANGEAS
Last year I spray painted the hydrangeas gold but this year I kept them natural and love the look!
MERRY MERRY!
XOXO-
Heather
