CELEBRATE || Red, White & Blue Hot Dog BBQ

With summer right around the corner it’s time to fire up the grill and get some fun summer celebrations on the calendar! That’s why I am thrilled to partner with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!  to share a fun BBQ themed table setting to help inspire your summer gatherings. Really is there anything better than red, white and blue?

With the temperatures rising and Memorial Day right around the corner, I cannot wait to invite some friends over for some summer fun. And my wheels were spinning on my most recent shopping trip to Christmas Tree Shops andThat! when I came across all of their great patriotic items perfect for summer. I love collecting classic red, white and blue pieces to mix and match when hosting. So let’s take a look at some of the great finds and ideas down below! 

THE TABLE

When thinking about setting a fun and festive table, I like to start with a tablecloth. I found this great blue denim, red and white striped one that I know will be used a ton this summer. It was the perfect starting point for all of the great finds. Isn’t this so festive?

But for me, the real star of the show is this hot dog board! As soon as I saw this large red  round melamine platter- I knew it would also be a great summer staple when hosting. First order of business? Using it as a hot dog board! Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned hot dog with all the fixin’s? For under $5- it is such a versatile piece to serve up all kinds of treats this summer. 

Those red, white and blue paper cups are perfect for serving up all of the toppings. Don’t you agree that the paper flag toothpicks are the perfect finishing touch? Here I am showing the traditional hot dog toppings with a few fun ones. Did you know that Christmas Tree Shops andThat! has a food section as well? I was able to grab lots of condiments and toppings on my shopping trip. Love a one stop shop! 

When hosting a hot dog BBQ- you must also have allllllllll the yummy sides! I just love this big white serving basket for corralling – could be used in so many ways. I love how it looks like a wicker basket but is plastic so can easily be wiped down. Here I used it to serve up some sides. These little serving “boats” came in packs of three and were only $1 for the set! I also think these are going to be great versatile items for hosting this summer. I can see an ice cream banana split bar or even little s’mores kits… the options are endless!

The other must have items to have on hand for summer entertaining is paper plates and napkins. I do love setting a pretty formal table, but when it comes to bigger casual groups – it’s got to be convenient. These red checkered plates scream summer!

Last but not least- flag decorations for the porch. These cute buntings are perfect for the mantel- the size is perfect! And we can never have enough flags to stick around in plants. (I also love to line the driveway with these when hosting a Memorial Day or Fourth of July party.)
